Throughout her high school and college years, she continued to have experiences that drew her towards medicine. Dr. Maly earned her bachelor’s degree in Government and Health Policy at Harvard University. She continued to Medical school at Oregon Health and Science University with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Dr. Maly found a home in Wallowa County after her residency and now provides many services including women’s health care, obstetrics, newborn/well-child care, Accutane treatment, trigger point injections for musculoskeletal issues, home visits, and end-of-life care for the community and visitors alike. She is inspired by the unique relationships and stories she encounters in her patients’ lives. When she’s not working Dr. Maly enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and knitting. When she’s able to get outside she loves to run, hike, and ski.

Dr.Maly is my primary.Over the years she has listened attentively,explained options clearly,and helped me feel confident in her care.Recently she was the hospital doctor when I was brought into the ER with pneumonia.She must have been watching some list as she did her rounds because she showed up in the ER only moments after I was wheeled in.She conferred with the ER doc and same back within one hour to tell me what was going on.She is truly a gem.

Dr.Annika is a warm,caring person who takes time to understand her patients.I can't think of a better doctor for female patients,and at my age(late 70s)I've seen a lot of both male and female MDs.She's also very sharp in her diagnostic abilities.Altogether a really excellent family practitioner.
