Nora Stangel, RN

Nora joined our team in September 2017. Nora is from Adel, Oregon where she lived on a cattle ranch. She comes from a large family and was the 3rd child born out of her 3 sisters and two brothers. She attended OHSU to receive her degree in nursing. Nora started her nursing career 40 years ago. She worked at St. Charles in Bend, Oregon when the surgery center started. Nora moved to Wallowa County in 1986. She worked at WMH as the Home Health Director for 31 years before coming to Winding Waters. Nora and her husband have three daughters and one son. Two of their daughters help run their family’s bison ranch and their other daughter works at the University of Wisconsin. Their son also helps on their ranch in the summer. It’s no surprise that bison are Nora’s favorite animal as they have 500-600 of them on their ranch.
