Kuulei Payne, EPDH

Kuulei’s interest in dentistry began in 5th grade, when she was always going to the dentist whether it be for a cavity or a broken tooth. She appreciated her dental hygienist and decided then that she wanted to work towards making a positive impact on other people’s dental experiences. After growing up in Wallowa County, Kuulei attended Eastern Oregon University for her dental hygiene prerequisites and then hygiene school at Oregon Institute of Technology. Wanting to give back to the community that had helped her so much along the way, Kuulei decided to start her career in the county. Now she is able to offer a variety of important dental services including; adult and child cleanings, scaling and root planning for periodontal disease patients, oral health instruction, tobacco cessation, and other preventative measures. She loves being able to help patients who have a fear and anxiety about the dentist. Kuulei strives to make every patient’s dental experience an enjoyable one and is happy to be a friendly face for patients. When she’s not working, Kuulei loves spending time with her husband and two girls. DIY home projects, camping, riding 4-wheelers and Friday night movie nights are a few of their favorite activities.
