Kathy Lathrop, RDH

Kathy Lathrop joined the Winding Waters team in the fall of 2020. She has been a dental hygienist for over 40 years after graduating from the University of the Pacific Dental Hygiene program at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA. When asked how she decided to get into the dental field she replied “While in high school I was working as a dental assistant for my family dentist. After graduation I went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo for “unknown” studies. Halfway through my first term my mom showed up on campus and informed me that I had an interview with the dental hygiene school next week….hmm, don’t know that I ever applied!  I am forever blessed because of her support. ” Kathy has been a dental hygienist for over 40 years but is always still eager and willing to learn new things. Her patients and staff are like family to her, “They keep me laughing and fuel my professional soul”. She is excited to watch her passion for dental healthcare transition to the next generation. When she is not in the clinic, Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to travel! She also enjoys cooking, reading, going on walks, and spending time at logging camp with her husband.
