Dr. Nick West, MD
Nick grew up on a cattle ranch down the road in Imbler, Oregon. Through this experience of growing up rural he developed a passion to serve the small towns of Oregon. After graduating from high school he took a year off from college and traveled over 30,000 miles around the state of Oregon as a Future Farmers of America State Officer. He then attended Oregon State University where he earned a degree in BioResources Research and did bench research in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. During his college summers, he fought wildland fire where he enjoyed swinging a Pulaski, running a chainsaw, and working outdoors. After college, Nick attended medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. While there he found a group of people who shared his values of compassion, curiosity, and broad-scope competence – family doctors. He was fortunate to spend six months with the talented and robust family doctors at Winding Waters Clinic which cemented his love for broad-scope family medicine and joined the Winding Waters Team as a Primary Care Physician in September of 2022. In his free time, he enjoys mountain climbing, mountain biking, skiing, running, backpacking, traveling, and spending time with his two sons Harrison, and Fordham, and his wife, Alex.

Dr.West,in my opinion on my first visit has a laid-back relaxed approach that is perfect for someone like myself that already suffers from anxiety just from being at the doctors office.Dr.West along with being easy to speak with also made a short/immediate,and a longer-term plan on the spot to help eliminate my concerns.Everyone else in the building that helped during my visit were exceptional!!!,very sweet, and kind.Overall for someone that doesn't like going to see the doctor,It was a very comfortable experience.
