Randi Movich Randi was inspired to enter the nursing profession when she was working on a project in West Africa where she looked at health practices used by midwives and traditional healers. She was motivated by the dedication of these practitioners to help their community members.Having already completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master of Science in Forest Resources, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Oregon Health and Science (OHSU) School of Nursing. Today, Randi primarily helps patients with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma and COPD. She specializes in wound care and also does lactation visits as a part of pre and post partum care. Most of the services she provides can be done in the clinic or at a patient’s home. Randi enjoys offering patients a large educational counterpart with their visits, striving to help patients identify their own health goals and work with them in to achieve those goals. Having visited Wallowa County frequently to go hiking and skiing in grad school, Randi was happy when her husband got a job that moved her family to the county full time. When she’s not helping patients, Randi loves spending time with her family, river rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking, skiing, and travelling.
